I was born and raised with my two younger siblings in Waterbury, Connecticut, where my parents still reside.

I attended Cornell University and studied Hotel Administration as an undergraduate. While at Cornell, I worked at some of Ithaca's restaurants and hotels to learn about the industry and pay tuition, and during summers and breaks, I spent time in Germany, Costa Rica, North Carolina, and Los Angeles getting work experience in a variety of roles. Studying and working in such a culturally-rich industry helped to pique my interest in the topics I still study today.

After school, I moved to Philadelphia (and then to Boston) to work in consulting, focusing on change management. Long story short, I got involved in a variety of projects but found that I enjoyed those involving employee research the most, which eventually led me back to school.

I currently live in Boston, MA with my husband, who works for a non-profit focused on global health. In my spare time, I love cooking, brewing beer, exercising and traveling.
